Program of Study
The Kildonan School, located in scenic Dutchess County in New York State, is a school specifically designed to meet the needs of students with dyslexia or language based learning disabilities. Each fall, one hundred and forty intelligent girls and boys come to Kildonan from across the United States and abroad to enroll in an educational experience that is well tailored to their specific learning styles. While many Kildonan students have had success in other aspects of life-sports, art, jobs, and friendships-most have been frustrated in school. Students leave Kildonan with skills, strategies, confidence, and friendships that are the foundation for future success.
Kildonan offers programs for students entering grades 2-12 as well as a postgraduate year. The elementary program, grades 2-6, consists of day students only. Those in grades 7-PG are accepted as day, five-day boarding, and full boarding students.
