The Family Foundation School

The Family Foundation School is a private, college-preparatory, therapeutic boarding school (high school and separate middle school), registered with the New York State Board of Regents, accredited by The Joint Commission and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and a charter member of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs. The school serves bright, talented teens struggling with academic underachievement due to behavioral or emotional difficulties by providing an integrated program of rigorous academics, therapeutic counseling, and character education based on the principles of 12-Step living.

In fostering a spirit of academic excellence, emotional health and spiritual awareness, the school provides tutoring and other learning support, college courses, award-winning co-curricular activities including forensics, journalism, art, music, dance, and drama, and division-ranked interscholastic sports. Situated on a scenic 150-acre campus in the western Catskills of upstate New York, students enjoy nurturing and supportive family living in a therapeutic environment designed to heal their family relationships, build character and change their lives.
